The United States fined Lufthansa $4 million for denying boarding to Jewish passengers traveling from New York to Budapest for an annual memorial event. Most passengers wore Orthodox Jewish attire and were treated as a group by Lufthansa, leading to the civil-rights violation fine. Lufthansa disputes discrimination claims. (ABC News)


A Georgia judge ruled that county election officials must certify election results by a set deadline — even if suspecting error or fraud. Fulton County Superior Court Judge stated no official can refuse certification or abstain, even if inspection is delayed. The ruling came from lawsuit filed by Republicans in Fulton County. (AP)


Protesters rallied at Kellogg’s Michigan HQ urging removal of artificial dyes from U.S. cereals like Froot Loops. Walgreens will close over 1,000 U.S. stores by 2027 due to underperformance, with 500 closures expected by next year. Around 1,700 stores are unprofitable out of 8,700 locations. Despite this, company reports growth in business segments and plans to maintain workforce during closures for a “healthier store base.” (UPI)


Giant pandas Bao Li and Qing Bao arrived at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., a year after the facility’s last pandas returned home. The pair will undergo quarantine before being available for public viewing, as they are on loan from China for 10 years. Bao Li is the third generation of his family to live in the U.S. (USA Today)
